I have just had the most amazing experience at the iStore at Gateway in Umhlanga. Being midweek the store was relatively quiet, five or six sales staff (if that is what they are supposed to do) on the floor and I noticed a number of staff through a glass door marked "Training". The sales staff were occupied with clients, a mix of about 1 to 1 and to this end I realised I might have to wait a short while. Well after waiting 20 minutes without being greeted or acknowledged I was pleased to see a rather officious person come strolling out from the area where the tills were located, maybe I am wrong maybe this is where people disappear to so they can get paid to do nothing. He then in a very disinterested way asked another patron if he could help and that was him lost into the black hole of non-service. Well it goes without saying that I walked out without purchasing what I wanted, no show and tell required, give it to me let me pay and I would have been in and out in 3 minutes. You might have the best products in your selected field but poor customer service will ensure that clients think twice about buying your product.
