My sister and I went to the MAC store in Melrose Arch. She lives overseas and had a long list of MAC products to buy for her daughters. We went in and had to ask for help, note this is a very small store!
The women who helped us had such an attitude, getting irritated and rude when my sister asked her questions about specific products. Note my sister knew what products she wanted, it was not a case of testing every product in the store! For example, she was looking for a specific eye shadow which was out of stock. This sales woman seemed pained to have to respond to various requests about an alternative!
Finally, after 40 minutes!!! we went to pay for the products. The amount was over R3 500. Please tell me how many sales they have like that every day? How much commission did this sales person earn on that sale? The whole experience was like drawing blood from a stone!
This is shocking 'service' - a poor attitude and it reflects inadequate training and management, apparently throughout the MAC Company, of staff. There are millions of unemployed people in this country, why does a company employ people who don't appreciate their jobs and are causing actual loss to the company.
