I purchased a Philips i-pod docking station (Model no DCM1580/12) for my husband for Christmas December 2011 from [URL Removed] From the beginning the music player was giving problems, playing a couple of minutes and then shutting down. I contacted Philips early this year and was adviced to take the player to a JHB repair centre. This was an inconvenience for me since I stay 100km away in Sasolburg. However, I took the player to be repaired. I was informed the ''software'' was defective and needed to be reloaded. Now, 3 months later the player is doing the same thing, shutting down after a couple of minutes. A paid a couple of thousand rand for this player and at the moment feel like putting it on the sidewalk for the trash people to come and remove it.
