I complained on Hello Peter in May 2013 about my Philips I-pod docking station that just suddenly loses power and stops working. Bobby Hambi consumer care manager from Philips headoffice contacted me immediately and arranged for the docking station to be repaired at Radio Electric in Vereeniging. At first Radio Electric insisted that nothing is wrong with the hifi (it played fine), we had to drive from Sasolburg to Vereeniging and finally in our and the technician's presence the hifi lost power and switched off as we said it did. It was sent to Philips in Joburg for repairs and we were contacted to collect the ''fixed'' hifi. Again driving all the way only to be told it was not really fixed and we had to leave it there.
This is really poor poor service, taking 4 moths to fix a hifi. Product quality and good service is clearly not a priority for Philips. This is definitely my last Philips product purchase.
