LG South Africa says that they can't fix my dishwasher (model LD-2040WH) as the parts required are obsolete. The current dishwasher is about 4 to 5 years old. Firstly I would like to know the date of when the model was last manufactured? Secondly LG's policy in terms of servicing older units.
I've been told that LG (Dean and Olga) will not be able to provide parts for appliances older than 5 years. So be aware that LG expects you to replace your "products" after 5 years.
