Garmin South Africa
Useless watches

In 2009 I bought a Garmin FR 60. In 2011 the battery had to be replaced. After the battery was replaced, it gave an ERROR message. I sent the watch in, and it was replaced at a cost of R 1000.00.

I have a watch that is now just over a year old. Within a month of having it, the watch already said low battery. I took it back to the dealership, who apparently just replaced the battery. Recently, the watch has started to reset itself many times, meaning I have to enter all my information again every single time. This even happened during a race. In addition, the HRM and foot pod, take ages to connect, and at times won't connect at all.

I am not willing to send it in for a service, as this will firstly mean I am without a watch for some time, as well as it will cost me money for something that is not my fault. If any money is to be paid, it will rather be for a new watch of a different brand. I would like for the watch to be replaced at no cost to myself at all.

I am extremely disappointed that a such a high profile company would have such bad quality product. At this stage, I would never ever recommend a Garmin watch to any of my running friends!!!
