On Saturday the 14th of September I hired the Handyman Crew to hang a security gate for me. When fitting the gate they claimed the gate was too small, but it was exactly the same size as my previous gate. I gave them the old gates fittings, and they proceeded to hang the gate. Then they said they needed specific screws, I gave them R50 to go buy screws at a hardware store. I never seen the screws, nor did they provide me with a receipt. All the screws fitted in my gate is different, so not sure what screws they bought. Then they said they needed an extension bar to complete the job. I gave them a R100 to purchase at SA Metal. Since then, they have not come back to complete the job. When I eventually got fed-up, and said I wanted a refund (R100 R350 for fitting gate), Abdul makes empty promises. I have sent him my bank details twice, and every time he has an excuse and no refund is received. In the interim, my gate has come lose and had to be taken off. So no gate installed, no materials received, but I am R500 poorer!
