I have purchased a Lexmark printer from Game in December 2011.
They told me to keep my till slip as it was my guarantee.
This machine has on its box, as part of the features, 3 year guarantee.
I read the literature in the box and installed it on my computer.
Did not register, as I do not have an internet connection.
Now the machine malfunction, 13 months after.
I contacted Game who told me that the Lexmark details was stamped on the till slip and I have to contact them
I phoned and was told the following.
The 3 year guarantee is subject to registering online. With the result that they do not have any responsibility anymore.
Nowhere on the box or in the literature, does it say that this is a prerequisite.
Game staff did not say that this was a prerequisite,
I was told to keep the till slip, as it was my guarantee.
I have been misled to believe that I was purchasing a printer with a 3 year guarantee.
I have emailed them, they asked for photos of the box, which I sent, they came back to say
That they do not take responsibility.
THIS FIRM DOES NOT HONOUR THEIR COMMITMENTS AND YOU SHOULD NOT CONSIDER SUPPORTING THEM.
THEY MISLEAD THEIR CUSTOMERS FOR SALES!!!
