Poor after sales service

We Bought a lexmark S810.The printer worked fine for a year without any problems. After a year the printer head went. We requested lexmark send us a new printhead, only to find out it's not the printhead. After days and days of troubleshooting with lexmark support, we came a conclusion the printer itself was faulty. They then stated that the printer is out of warranty and there is nothing they could do about it. Apparently the company we bought it from supposed to tell us to register on the internet for an extended warranty. Nothing of that was told to us. Now i've wasted money on the printer. There's nothing they can do. There's no repair center. We were willing to pay for the printer to be repaired only to be told they have no repair centers in the country. How does an international company like lexmark have NO repair centers in the country. That means if your printer is out of warranty you can't have it repaired rendering it useless and a waste on money. Pretty pathetic
