Impossible to enter license for SPSS 12.0 for Windows Student Version

Dear Lady / Sir,

Around 1996, I used the SPSS 6.0 v. for Windows Student Version, during my MBA studies at NIMBAS, in Utrecht, the Netherlands. I still have the booklet of that version.
Later, after emigration to Ghana, I bought the 12.0 version, of which I still have the disc, bought in the Netherlands, Amsterdam, in an Acadamic Book-shop in the Leidse Straat. For Windows 98, 2000, XP, ME and Windows NT 4.0, with code 0821-CD-0821 (in neon-letters, at the center of the disc).

While installing, WITHOUT ENTERING A LICENSE CODE - I get the message:

SPSS Student Version - unlicensed
The license code entered is not valid

Kindly I ask for your help to get my software running,
