I am trying to Purchase a standalone version of Microsoft Windows 8. The only versions available commercially and on the website is either upgrade or with hardware. As I already have hardware with no windows, neither of these options are viable.
I have contacted Microsoft repeatedly via email and phone and through this I have established that I need to purchase the system builder or COEM version, but nobody can supply this either.
This is a very bad position Microsoft is putting the end user in as they are practically unable to buy a stand alone version of windows, as in the past.
