Problems with external hard drive

I bough a Toshiba usb 3.0 external hard drive last year in November.

It worked well but had some issues. It also created bad sectors/ clusters. The final end product was that i had lost all of my info that was was stored on the hard drive.

The external hard drive was used as a backup for my photos and my computer. My computer had crashed and when i wanted to restore my backup it could not be completed because of a bad sector.

Because of that i lost all of my info and my photos that had great importance to me.

The computer that i am using currently is a Dell computer with windows operating system. It also runs the latest Kaspersky antivirus and it is always kept up to date, I also scan my computer frequently for viruses.

The device i counted on to keep my data safe dropped me and when i needed it the most to help me it was not able to help me because of its problems.

Recovery of the information on the hard drive could also not be done, i also took it to an IT company to help me recover it but even they were not successful with recovering the software that was on there.

Because of a bad sector that was created by it
