I bought a new computer at Computer Mania (October/November 2012) which included a Sony Blu-ray writer.
This year in September while busy with a huge school concert video, trying to write Blu-ray copies, the writer did not want to work. In the past year it was only used several times.
After a long struggle with Computer Mania's management (Aldo), they replaced my Sony with a LG. I use Adobe Encore CS6 for creating DVD menu's, which was not compatible with this program (where the Sony worked perfectly!). After researching the problem, i discovered the LG Blu-ray writer was not Abode friendly.
Once again I contacted Aldo and told him that I specifically need a Sony Blu-ray writer (and which I paid for originally). He told me that he can not find any Sony writers at any of their branches. I then went to Computer Mania in Tyger Valley Mall where they had a Sony external Blu-ray writer which would serve my needs as videographer. Once again I contacted Aldo and told him I will pay the difference of R300. He told me 5 weeks ago he would get back to me, which he never did. I contacted him a few times without results.
This is quite inconvenient seeing as I live in Hermanus.
