In the first week of September 2013 I couriered my damaged hard-drive for the recovery of data thereon. When the device was returned, it had an ill-fitting replacement board on and the data on the 'repaired' hard-drive couldn't be accessed nor read by a reputable IT company locally. I phoned the repairer while at Matrix on the same day and the owner of the company (namely, Hendrik) asked me to send it back to him, which thing I immediately did.
Despite numerous phone calls, SMSs and emails to him, he has not returned my hard-drive. I have already paid R2850 for the 'service'. While he claims to have successfully repaired it and sent it to me, he won't furnish me with a tracking number nor the name of the courier company used by him to send it back to me.
The hard-drive contained, inter alia, audio-visual files containing rare jazz concerts in high definition for which I spent approximately R10 000 to download from you-tube as well as a large collection of audio files to which I attach a great deal of personal sentimental value! Some of the music files will not be replaceable.
The contact details of the company are, (tel) 011 6800262, (email) [Email Removed]
