I bought an Acer laptop through takealot about 8 months ago. I noticed the fan sounded weird (loose) but my box pc was struck by lightning and I had projects to do for my studies, so I just left it just to get through all my tasks. Four months after the charger just stopped working and I called them to replace it, eventually TWO MONTHS later my charger arrived at my house after I had to remind them to send it. This week my laptop suddenly started overheating and shut down for no apparent reason. It keeps doing it even if I have my industrial high velocity fan on it to keep it cool. The cores run 80-81 degrees Celsius. I know laptops very well so I opened the cover only to discover that the fan isn't accessible without opening the whole unit (poor design on Acer's side seeing that a fan needs to be cleaned) so I opened it to find that the fan is loose and that the thermal paste isn't on the cpu but around it. I know the warranty is void because I opened it but I want to know how ACER can sell laptops that are so faulty and then be rude to customers wanting an explanation? Now I have to pay the repairs myself (due to a void warranty) but I initially received a pathetic laptop
