Dead laptop battery

I bought a demo dell laptop at Trade Assist Laptop Specialist at Balfour Park in Johannesburg on 29 May 2011, when i started using it it couldn't switch on without being plugged to the wall. i called Lwazi on the first of June 2011 to let him know but he said he doesnt know what the problem is. I live in Rustenburg, so i couldn't go back to Johannesburg immediately to return it. When I got the chance to got to the store Lwazi took it to charge it overnight, the following day when i returned to the shop he was off, i found his manager, June. An explanation i got from her was that Dell is the mercedesbenz of the computers, meaning it is the strongest, and that the battery can't last on it. I took the laptop back to Rustenburg with me but the battery still din't work. I call Lwazi again, he told me that the battery was not going to last because it is a demo. He didn't explain anything when he sold me the laptop and there's no info about the battery written on my invoice. I was informed that they will get me a new battery and i will pay half price for it, but then they change the story saying that i have to pay full price. I would like to warn other buyers about Trade Assist SA
