In the past I have recommended HP to people because of the onsite service for businesses. I purchased a HP elite book for our company director who normally prefers Dell. Dell has a next business day onsite guarantee and sends a technician to site to resolve any issues.
The HP elite-Book was about R 20 000 and packed up after 2 months.
I logged a call with HP on the 9th of January, and they claim that onsite guarantee means they send DHL to collect the laptop! it took them a week to collect. The 2 guys from DHL showed up with no paperwork, they did not even know what they were collecting or where it must go. I received no proof of any collection and had to hand over a R 20 000 laptop to strangers.
I have not received any feedback from HP and it has been 7 working days since i first reported the problem.
This is NOT a on-site guarantee it is collect and return and there is a massive difference!!!
