ACER DO NOT KNOW HOW TO REPAIR THEIR OWN PRODUCT!!

I am disgusted with Acer South Africa warranty repairs. My laptop died with 2 weeks left on my 1 year warranty. In all fairness it has hardly had any use during the year, so having it die with only a couple of hundred hours of use was a serious concern. I took it back to Incredable Connection in Richards Bay who sent it to Acer. It was repaired under warranty and came back today after 2 weeks with a note that the mainboard had been replaced.

I get the laptop home to find that the graphics card built into the unit on the repalcement board is blown! This is built into the mainboard so means they installed a faulty board!!! Even after doing a factory restore of the unit the drivers from the recovery cd and the latest drivers from the Acer website all report that my laptop does not have the Nvidea Geforce GT520M chipset that I bought it with and report that it only has a standard vga chipset!!!

Now I have to drive back to Richards Bay and again take in my laptop to Incredable Connection to again sit without it while it gets sent away for repair! And being Christmas it will take long than 2 weeks and will likely come back faulty again!

Acer used to be quality - not any more.
