Dollar Thrifty Car Rental South Africa
R250 traffic fine for a car that I never rented

I received an infringement from AARTO, stating that I was speeding in a rental car from Thrifty, (a Nissan Micra Reg BT35HP GP). I have been following this up with Thrifty asking them how do I get a ticket for a car I never rented but no one is willing to assist me. I spoke to Charvaine, she referred me to MetroGlobalTelecomServices who do not answer my phones. When I asked for details of the car rental they emailed me a rental agreement (Num 407482) that is similar to the one I once signed in November 2011. When I rented a car same as above from Thrifty in Pretoria Church street branch on behalf of a friend. He got a speeding ticket and my then credit card was debit R250.00. The strange thing is that on the date of the infringement 10/03/13 I was at Greenstone mall: The TelNum listed on the rental agreement is from my previous employer whom I left in 2012. The signature on the agreement is not mine. They do not have my credit card details, how does a person rent a car without it? Thrifty staff are incompetent; lack of database administration skills has resulted in them taking an old rental agreement and using it to pass the buck. I want them to sort this out and clear my name.
