My car didn't start. Took it to VW North Cliff they charged the battery and the car started. Following day it didn't start again. got the insurance to tow to VW Strijdom park. I told about the battery. They decided to change the gear mechanism and accused me of spilling liquid on the gear (had to pay R11, 000.00, wait for three weeks while also paying for car hire). When I got the car back (after they charged the battery overnight because "the car has be standing for too long") it had the same problem the following day. This time they replaced the mechatronics @ R24, 000 cost covered by the warranty. I got the car back and few days later the battery died again. They finally replaced the battery. Now refuse to pay me back the R11, 000 I paid for them to replace the wrong part. They say i must bring the car back so they take out the new part and replace it with old part! I don't really want people who replaced the whole gear system for a flat battery to touch my car again. BESIDES, they told me in writing that they will refund me if their initial diagnosis was incorrect. The plant call centre in PE is telling me they can't do anything as the dealer decision is final. It's not acceptabl
