I own a VW Passat 1.8 TSI which I bought from Hatfield VW Braamfontein in 2011, since the first service I complained about the gearbox, towards the end of 2012 this became progressively worse, I had to take the vehicle back to VW on numerous occasions to get it fixed without success, the dealer kept on promising that they would get VWSA involved but this never happened, at the beginning of 2013 the clutch slipped badly and I contacted VWSA and was requested once again to take the vehicle to the dealer for a software update, since then I've been without a vehicle, today 3rd of April. According to the warranty agreement I was supposed to get a courtesy vehicle which I was told none was available. I subsequently informed VW that they need to take the vehicle back as I'm not interested in driving a VW anymore after the service I received, no response.
I've logged a complaint at the Consumer commissioner and the Vehicle industry Ombudsman but apparently this takes months to resolve and in the mean time I don't have a vehicle to get to work, which I'm still paying for on a monthly basis
