I had a VW caravelle DSG till 3 weeks ago, I had endless troubles with this car, it broke down 5 times in the last 4 months, although the vehicle was still under warranty and maintenance plan it was a nightmare to get it repaired because we were far from home. To get alternative transport from VWSA was even more of a nightmare. After my last encounter with VWSA, I arranged with a dealer close to me to see someone from VWSA to get this vehicle sorted. The guy from VWSA promise to get back to me after I explain all the trouble this vehicle had cause me. Up to know no one came back to me, my car broke down twice after our meeting, It was not save anymore to travel long distance with this vehicle so we sold it and bought another brand, I was in the proses to buy the new amarok but change that when VW and the dealer didn't came back to me. It all came down to that VWSA are not prepared to help us to sort out this unsafe and problematic vehicle, they even admit they understand that we had no confidence in this vehicle anymore. They will keep on repair as long as the vehicle is under warranty. I spent R600000 for a safe reliable vehicle for my family, I definetly waste my time and money!
