Some consistent issues after buying a new FORD in 2009 from Kempster Umgeni:
* Shortly after purchasing the car, colour coded items (door handles, spoiler, mirrors) started to peal, this was merely touched up after mailing the head office as the dealer & customer care failed to deal with it. 4years later, all door handles & the boot spoiler have lost colouring &FORD does not respond or care to assist.
* The dealership offered the car to me with an extended service plan so that I would purchase the vehicle from Kempster rather than Barloworld. Despite these terms being in my original copies of the agreement, FORD refuses to honour this service agreement.
* After the poor service with Kempster RE: the colour coding of extra features, I decided to use Barloworld's services instead. After an unfortunate incident with a pothole, the car was left in their care. During this time they lost they keys, and the battery was flat upon collection of the vehicle. I have since returned to Kempster who at least look after the vehicle, despite not honouring agreements.

I'm advising people NOT to buy a FORD if you are living in the Durban area!! Personally I won't invest in this brand again.
