I was billed R 1800 for a scratch that I did not cause. I don't mind paying but i need the correct process followed and not have my account debitted without my knowledge. I generally don't ever book a car with AVIS but this time round I was forced by my insurer, because i have heard of this happening to avis clients before and now it's happening to me.
The scractch is a R1800 damage and I was never alerted or given the quote as oe the contact i signed when i first got the car.
I also had a nasty experince on the phone when Fifi the lasy who I got through to at the branch hung up on me. Thanks to Sibongile the branch manager I got a better experience.
I want the R 1800 returned to my account and the proper process followed and i want to understand why a scratch is costing R1800 and not the fair R800 I estimate it to be worth.
