Purchased a Demo 2012 Passat 1.8 TSI DSG form VW Mc Carthy, Pine street in Durban about 6 weeks ago. From the word go I had to do all the follow ups on progress in getting car. Waited over 3 weeks for my number plates - again had to do all the follow ups. Eventually I booked the car in on Wednesday to have long awaited number plates fitted and also previously reported a shudder on the car. Appears to be a suspected gearbox problem and was promised that a technician would call me to explain - after two follow ups and numerous promises still no phone call. I have now resorted to taking my car to another VW dealership where I`ve serviced my previous Jetta 5 for assistance in resolving this issue with suspected problem with the gearbox. Booked car in for diagnosis on the 2nd of April. Is this the way Mc Carthy treats it's clients? How accurate is your so called 80 point check which by the way was only given to me a few days after I took delivery of this vehicle. New radio was supposed to be checked on Wednesday, doesn't seem that anything was done and also received back a dirty car that was supposedly in the wash bay... This is pathetic to say the least...
