General Motors South Africa
Breach of Contract - GMSA

I took my car to Sandton Fury for it's second service with a complaint regarding gear selection. I was told by the dealership following the service that the problem had been "fixed". Not long thereafter I began experiencing the same problems. Not wanting to return my vehicle to Sandton Fury, as they had not performed the job correctly the first time, I took my car to Eagle Canyon Auto. I was told that there was a problem with a "bearing" and that the gearbox would have to be removed and sent away. As the vehicle has little over 26, 000 km on the clock and is under warranty, I insisted that a new gearbox be fitted. On collection of my vehicle I checked and double-checked with the staff that a new gearbox had been fitted, and they insisted that they had obtained and fitted a new one. I have since had to return my car to the said delearship a number of times with gear selection issues, and still battle with gear engagement. Again I have asked and again have been told that a new gearbox was installed. Over the weekend I opened the bonnet and noticed that on the gearbox there is an RDG (Rex Diff & Gearbox) sticker, which serves as RDG's warranty. RDG do repairs and reconditioning.
