Being Ripped Off

Last year sometime my dad's account was handed over to an attorney. I was responsible for paying this account. I signed an agreement on behalf of my dad (which was accepted by both lawyer and BMW) stating I would pay the outstanding fee and have being doing so. However I am not able to obtain any proper statements advising me whether the correct payments are being received. I finally got an outstanding figure yesterday and the amount is R 31 000 over than is outstanding.
BMW will not help me in anyway yet I am paying every month. Yet are quick to resort to repossession if I do not pay. I have tried calling BMW with no help and same with the lawyer.
BMW were aware of this arrangement and will not give me any assistance I asked if it made a difference if my father called in and was told that they would merely get the lawyer to contact him, which takes us back to square one. We are not able to get a proper reconciliation or statement of what has in fact been paid to our account.
