The only guarantee you will find at the "Vehicle Whisperer" is that you will be digging deep, very deep into your pockets!
I took my car in for a steering rack repair which would have costed between R1000.00 and R4000.00 all inclusive. At 12 'o clock I received the phone call that I will now be paying R5500.00 for the vehicle whisperer to recondition my car's steering rack.
Clearly one would think that if you were given a price of between R1000.00 and R4000.00 that R4000.00 would mean a reconditioned steering rack or perhaps even a new steering rack.
I ended up not giving in to such extortion and had to pay R550.00 for the diagnosis and wheel alignment.
If ever it was possible to receive your vehicle in a worse condition than when you left it, they mastered that art. At 90 km/ph it felt as if the wheels want to fall af where before it only felt that way at 120 km/ph. The wheels never felt so loose before and hopping along in bumper to bumper traffic is "fun" I can do without.
I did however find another company who will charge me R4100.00 all inclusive for fitting a new steering rack. This includes labour, the new steering rack and all other costs. R1400.00 Cheaper!!!
