I contacted VW Claremont for my Radio safe code as my battery was replaced. His response was as follows:

"In order for us to suppy you with a radio code for your vehicle, you need to bring it in for us to hook up to our diagnostic machine and retrieve the code."

Seriously, this code in in my purchase file. But because I'm a female their intention was to rip me off.
