My Jeep Cherokee's radio went off and the words " LOCKED, ENTER CODE" appeared on the screen. We bought the car second hand and did not have the code. I phoned Jeep Wonderboom and spoke to Deon, who made an appointment for the Monday and told me it will take 20 minutes, I can wait for the car, and it will cost me R 430. I took the car in and wait 5 hours. He came back and said he can not get the code and that I must buy a new radio, which will be R 15000. He did not charge me the R 430. I sent numerous e-mails to Jeep SA to get them to assist me in this matter. The lady just said she must have the serial number of the radio to help me, and Jeep Wonderboom said that they did not have it anymore and they tried the correct code and that the radio is beyond repair. This is unacceptable to me, there must be a way to get this on a computer, now they just ignore me. Please help.
