IDA FAILING THEIR MISSION IN THE MOTOR INDUSTRY

I lodged a complaint on the IDA website on 2013/02/15 about one of their memebers, Pro West Car Sales, that did not honour a warrantee given to me when I bought a car from them a few days ago.

I received no response from the IDA and the problem has not been addressed.

In their mission statement the IDA states: "oThe establishment of an organised Association recognised in the International and local markets for being an effective mouthpiece in the industry in order to address issues affecting members and their clients." By not addressing this shocking problem it seems the IDA failed their mission.

Background information:
2013/02/01 I bought a 2002 BMW 525 from Pro West. Amongst the paperwork that the salesman (Marten) had me signed was a 1000km/30 day warrantee.
2013/02/07 Within 5 working days and after doing 200km with the car I booked it in at franchise dealer for minor adjustments and got a quote of over R30000 for mechanical repairs needed.
2013/02/07 Within 5 working days after buying the car I gave written notice to Pro West of cancellation of the sale.Pro West however refused taking back the car and refused paying for any repairs needed.
