Hanley, owner of Mobile Marine Services, left me with R14070.00 out of pocket before revealing the actual cause of the problem to me. This guy does not belong in the industry, is very incompetent, and people need to look out for him. As previously mentioned he sucked R14070.00 out of me before revealing to me that I had compression issues on my Mariner 100HP outboard motor. I since purchased another motor and had it serviced by a competent boat mechanic. This guy actually checked everything Hanley did last, first, which still begs the question, if Hanley had been competent, would I have been R14070.00 out of pocket. The answer to the question by the way is, NO. It is also common practise in the industry to do a compression test first, in order to establish the mechanical state of the motor.
