I dealt with a sales rep named Renaldo Singh, who offered me certain car 2011 model w/ 38000km for R75000 from his dealership.
I asked him to apply for finance for me & bring the car for test drive.
He then phoned me to tell me that my finance had been Approved. Days later he called & told me that the car actually had 80000km, & that he would bring another car with those specs to test drive.
At this point I was peeved off, but then when the car arrived it turned out to be a 2010 model, not a 2011 model and it was R80000! He said they have no 2011 models & cannot bargain more.
I decided to sign the provisional offer to purchase anyway, as I still liked the car.
I never heard from Renaldo again, and he didnt answer his phone.
When I phoned the agency & spoke to Farhaan Seedat the sales manager, he told me that Renaldo had left & that the Car was actually selling for R85000! He then faxed me the provisional offer to purchase that I had signed, & to my amazement someone had added an extra R5000 to the document!
Bank also declined the finance coz Renaldo had applied for it on the wrong car!
Ferhaan said he would reapply for finance for the car atR85000, I've still heard nothing from him
