Money to be returned to customer (ME!)

I took a mini lease with AVIS car rental on the 24th of November 2012, but due to personal emergencies I had to to return it on the 30th of January 2013.
Billing for February had already taken place on the 23rd of January 2013, as we well know it's done in advance per month. When I returned the car on the 30th of January 2013 at 16:45 (Wednesday) I was told that they (Chantel) acknowledge the receipt of the vehicle and shall close the account and that I had nothing to fill in nor sign. When I called the Grand Central office on the 31st to find out if all was in order, I again found Chantel on the line and she said yes all was in order and the account was closed. I was delighted to hear that and requested to confirm the amount they shall return to me. She could not assist and asked me to call the accounts department at the head office number 0119233500. There a spoke to a lady called Ntobi and she mentioned that once the amount has been released on my credit card I shall be notified. Indeed at 15:35 that afternoon I received an sms saying the money has been released. I called the accounts again and I was told it would take 24 -48 hrs to reflect. Its day 4 today and still nothing!
