Petrol car exceeded limit

My company hired a car for me on Wednesday 6/2/2013 @9am to return on Friday 8/2/2013 @9am including a petrol card loaded with R1000 which was confirmed via sms. According to my understanding this is equivalent to 2 days. Due to the nature of my work this had to be extended to 17:00 Friday 8, 2013 which then was equivalent to 3 days. On my way back from work to drop off the car at grand central I made a stop to pour petrol and to my surprise the petrol car return a message stating that I had exceeded my limit, it was my first time using it. I then called avis emergencies and spoke to zandi who was very helpful, she transfered me to the correct place. The lady said there was nothing she could do because the card was blocked at 5pm. She called her manager who supposed her statement but according to my understanding this had to be blocked @9am Saturday. I added up paying the full tank using my own money. Unacceptable service.
