Rental agreement number 234610154
On the 18th December 2013 i rented a Toyota Hilux single cab with canopy. I returned it on the same day, in the same condition, with a full tank of petrol and with 12 free kms to spare.
I used what i paid for and returned it as soon as possible. The same cannot be said for my deposit.
Its been over two weeks now, and i have yet to receive my R8000 deposit (minus the cost of rental for the day).
After checking my account on the morning of the 30th December i phoned avis van rental beacon bay to enquire about my money, only to be told that the manager said that she released all the funds already, that i would not get an sms to say that the money was back in my account, that i should check with my bank.
Clearly the money had not yet been returned to me.
This is really service. i paid for what i used, i returned it on the same day, in the same condition, and when i enquire about a large sum of money owed to me i am told that i should go look for it.
I want whats owed to me, immediately.
Suffice to say. even if the money is returned tomorrow, i will never rent a vehicle from avis (that goes for the entire company) again.
