I bought a 2004 Subaru Forester in July last year from Lisa Bank motors (Sandton). After receiving the vehicle on 23 July (Tuesday) I drove to Bloemfontein with it on the Saturday. The vehicle overheated and I was told that the vehicle had blown a head gasket.

After a lengthy process of trouble shooting and claiming from the warranty, I was informed that the warranty provider would only pay out R5000 of a R18000 bill. Lisa Bank also informed me that they will be providing NO assistance for costs as I was aware that I bought an old car and I had test driven it and the vehicle passed the roadworthy test.

This roadworthy vehicle leaked oil the very first day I got it! It also overheated the very week I got it. Lisa Bank can bank on me spreading the word to one and all to stay away from them. They treat their sales like a voetstoots deal because you get sold a warranty with your vehicle.
