We purchased a vehicle from McCarthy Pre Owned Vehicles in December 2012. Two weeks later the vehicle was returned as it overheated. Only then McCarthy took the vehicle for roadworthy tests. We were not informed that the vehicle did not go for the test. The vehicle still gave problems and the dealership did not want to assist, as their argument were that they did not make any profit as they bought the vehicle from another garage. My parents offered to assist fixing this vehicle. The vehicle is standing for 2 months at a garage to fix, the latest quotation is R60 000.00. McCarthy only want to assist with R15 000.00. This is unacceptable. It is even more to fix the vehicle as what we paid for it 6 months back. The kind of service we getting from them is not acceptable.
