On 23rd Dec (day before my service), my car sounded strange. I stopped at a garage. Only a service light &a tire warning light was on. Surely if the computer was replaced a year before (@R10, 000) the warning lights should be accurate? When the bonnet was opened, it was steaming & noisy and the water seemed low, but NO water light went on and a week before I had water filled. The AA towed. Mini Auto promised a quote before 24th. They never got back to me and called on 30th and told me it would cost R9000 just to open the engine? They said it should be max R40, 000 to fix if it is the problem they think. We had to continually follow up. BAD service. They eventually called back and said that my engine was beyond repair and it would cost R107, 000 to replace! No real reason why. I apparently have to pay MORE money now to get the exact reason? Plus no engine light went on to warn. Only 5 years old and has 97, 000km. WHY did I buy a Mini if the parts were so LOW QUALITY that the engine can't last 100, 000km? Mini refuses to help. They obviously don't believe in their own quality to investigate. Do you care about customers? Help me understand? Don't buy a Mini. Bad parts and bad service
