Dear Sirs, I purchased a second hand motorcycle middle last year. A new radiator was manufactured by Silverton Radiators (Centurion, Hendrik Verwoerd).
End of November 2013 the radiator broke off from its original hinges from the manufactured radiator supplied by Silverton Radiators Centurion. To my mind this was poor welding which caused it to break off and invariably resulted in radiator getting damaged by repeatdly hitting against the engine, causing damage to 4 of the "cooling tubes / fins". I sent in radiator in the hope that it would be replaced as it carries a 12 month warranty.
Since having received it I have not put it back on motorcycle as I know believe this damage and the repair job (radiator glue in affected area) would cause overheating as I have lost almost 25% of radiator capacity.
Surely one would expect the radiator to be replaced and not repaired as it broke off from bad welding??
