I took my car to the Renault Dealership in Parden Eiland, Cape Town to replace my window washer motor on 30/12/2013 and collected vehicle on 31/12/2013. When I got home, I saw a long deep scratch on my drivers door and then decided to inspect the car further. Upon completeion of such inspection, I discovered that my bumper has been scratched and that someone tried to hide those scratches by rubbing/buffing some sort of cleaning agent over the scratches and in the process messed up my paint job.
This car is my baby, 2005 model megane sport, with only 60000km on clock. The car does not get driven much and gets pampered frequently. The car was REALLY in showroom condition and even still smells like new inside and had no damages as indicated by the "PRE INSPECTION SHEET" filled in at Renault.
When I spoke with IVAN SMITH at Renault about these damages, he was most unhelpful and told me outright that they not taking responsibility for it and so did PHILLIPPE CAHAY, whom I am still awaiting feedback for days.. Renault SA also not taking responsibilty for any damages.
I have the "PRE INSPECTION SHEET" that indicates NO DAMAGES to vehilce and the current damages are clearly visible
