My insurance company organised me a rental vehicle from Avis while my vehice was being repaired and upon delivery of the rental vehicle I had to pay a R750 "fuel" deposit. My car was unfortunately not repaired on time so I therefore had to get an extension on the rental after which, without warning, Avis charged me an additional deposit of R330.72.
I delivered the rental vehicle back with a full tank on 27 August yet I'm still waiting for my deposit of R1080.72 to credited back to me. I've been on the phone with several individuals from the branch in question in an attempt to get an indication of when I'm getting my money back and on Monday morning (2 September) I was told I I will get my money on Thursday. It is now Friday and still nothing!! I'm being charged interest on this money yet Avis are dragging their feet!
