I have been taking my golf to them for about a year now and the last 2 months have been a joke. My shocks were making a noise so I took it to them to get the problem checked, they then gave a quote on shocks, shock mounting etc, I felt uneasy about the quote of R4500 so I took it to the nearest Supa Quick and there was something not tight which they tightened and didn't even charge me. 2nd issue I have is when I took my car in for a minor service, 1 of the fuel lines got damaged and when I brought this to their attention a couple of weeks ago they promised me that they would repair it free of charge when my car goes in for a major service which was last week Thursday (Collected the car yesterday and still not done). 3rd problem is the "work to be done" on my car, the said I need new rear brakes, I just had my brakes done a month ago and took it back to the brake specialist yesterday and took a picture of the new brake pads. Also got quoted on a cam belt kit but my cam belt got done by VW just under a year ago. I have spent over R20, 000 at Car Service City and this is the type of service/repairs a customer gets in return, really disappointing.
