Auto Investments
Misrepresentation of vehicle information

I replied to an ad for a 2012 Toyota Etios XS via [URL Removed] I was then contacted by the Sales Executive of Auto Investments and booked a test drive. When the car arrived I queried 2 things: 1) why does the vehicle not have electric windows and 2) why does the car not have remote control central locking. The Sales Executive assured me that this is the "entry level" XS.
After the test drive I contacted Toyota. There is no such thing as an entry level XS model. The entry level Etios model is a Xi - and this model does not have the above 2 standard additions. However, my written quotation clearly states that vehicle is a Toyota Etios XS.
Needless to say I did not accept the quote. I also informed the Sales Executive of the fact. And made it very clear in my correspondence that they cannot now claim ignorance as I've provided them of the information and should any person at Auto Investments misinform any other client, it constitutes misrepresentation. I was simply told that the stock list described the vehicle as a Toyota Etios XS. Quite scary considering the Sales Executive told me that he had 10 years industry experience and knew everything about cars...
