I bought a new Toyota Sesfikile from Halway Toyota in Ottery, from Gertrude Hatana the Sales Executive in January 2013. She charged us R2500 extra and promised that we will get a RSA operating permit as part of the deal. As it turns out, once we had the vehicle Mrs Hatana was unavailable all the time when i called to enquire about the operating license. I visited the dealership and spoke to Hatana in person to ask about the OP. I even spoke to the Branch manager and he told me that it is normal for her to charge the R2500. Till today she never contacted me once to let me know about the OP permit. I visited the TAXI Licensing board and found out that my application was declined because Hatana submitted letters and she signed the application on my behalf without my authority. Toyota already made a huge amount of money from me but yet their sales people are allowed to run schemes from their offices and allowed to do so. I feel i was conned of R2500. The fact is, to apply for a RSA operating license costs R300! Please help recover my money and warn other vehicle buyers not to deal with Hatana at Ottery toyota, she's a!
