NTT Toyota Phalaborwa's way of Customer Care

I offered the selling price for a Toyota Yaris T3 from NTT Toyota Phalaborwa. This was after I had taken the car for a test drive and a lower offer from my side had been declined.

Despite several attempts via email, I did not receive a response on my offer from either the sales executive mr Johan van Heerden or the general principal mr Francois Strauss.

I then called the sales executive, mr Van Heerden, to find out why my emails were not answered. After a lot of beating about the bush, offering me two other cars, I found out that the Yaris T3 had actually been sold. Mr Van Heerden replied that he his manager mr Strauss had made a deal with someone else and that he would have reacted the same way if he had been in my shoes.

I called mr Strauss to ask for an explanation, but I was told he was out. On my email to him I haven't received a response.

I then emailed NTT Toyota customer care. No follow-up so far.

This is my first experience with an NTT Toyota dealer. I would like to know if this is the company policy, e.g. not responding to an offer to pay the selling price and not having the decency to communicate that the car has been sold?
