Assessor, Anton from Halfway Toyota admittedly test drove my vehicle in a reckless and negligent manner. He disclosed to me and the sales executive of Halfway Toyota, Morne Leach, that he, "diced a Porche" As the result thereof, my vehicle's turbo and engine have now been damaged. Before this incident, my vehicle was in mint condition which he himself admitted prior to the test drive. When I drove the vehicle again after his test drive, I immediately noticed the sluggish performance and smoke that the car was producing. When I reported this to Morne, he was extremely apologetic and commented that this incident was unacceptable and that he would report to the manager who was to contact me.
The manager, Hardus van Dyk only contacted me on Saturday morning and now claims that the incident is not Toyota's problem. I sent a complaint to the principal, Martin Klopper, who has not bothered to respond.
I find it disgusting that this is the attitude of Toyota, and that their staff are permitted to recklessly and negligently drive my vehicle to damage it, and no relief is offered to me by management.
