Kept both our money AND their faulty unit

I drive a chery QQ and had the usual alternator problem with it. This happened months ago already. We bought the part from Mandarin Parts, this happened on the Friday. We went to get the part installed immediately, and when driving home that afternoon, the alternator light was still burning. We were afraid we would not make it back to them, driving with a faulty alternator. We tried to get to the Chery garage, just to help us with it so we can get to this supplier. Every possible help was closed that Saturday morning after our purchase. We took the chance, and drove to the supplier, to find them closed as well. On our way back, we ended up standing next to the road. This was Saturday afternoon (after hours) by now. We had to pay overtime rates to get my car towed in, and we had to pay and find another alternator as well. We went back to Mandarin Parts that Monday morning, and we got told their return policy (as a note on their wall) is 3 days. We did this in 3 days, not to mention the actual lawful consumer laws. They refused to give us a refund, we no longer needed another one by now, but they gave us no choice, except them sending it in to be fixed. The last we saw them!
