Charging me extra coz they didnt give me a slip

I bought a left hand mirror, the didnt give me a slip. i went home and it was the wrong mirror, when i returend the goods the told me i have to pay extra coz there was no slip (but they didnt give me a slip) this is pathetic, they didnt even want to look in the book if a slip was issued and the owner gave me a bad attitued
