On 9 Sept13 E Peachey requested a quote for B Kloppers from GTD Express to courier glass tiles from Cpt to Centurion for a friend. Joanne Anderson quoted a price for 250kg and R946 excl should it not be more than 1m3. She indicated that Cpt branch will verify weight/measurements and revert back with the best option as we did not know final weight and if the cube price was going to be less. EP indicated that we will do EFT once we know the final cost and receive the invoice. Various sms's and mails were send to Joanne Anderson enquiring about the final cost. 12 Sept she indicated that she is out of office and will revert back regarding the cost and invoice to be paid by Shipper. On 13 Sept we got a call from the Consignee indicating that a Kerin (hugely arrogant) from the JHB branch contacted her to pay an amount of R1805.48 by EFT before she can get her tiles. As she did not want to embarrass me (tiles was a gift) she went ahead and pay it. I wrote to Greg, MD, regarding this practise and that I want the Consignee's money returned, and myself invoiced. Not for the 450kg they claimed but for the 1m2 @ R946 excl. Still no refund, invoice or response from Greg, MD regarding my query
